La CLOCHETTE du CHÂTEAU
A place where heritage, nature and the art of living meet
In the heart of the Fronsadais vineyards, 30 minutes from Bordeaux, La CLOCHETTE du CHÂTEAU occupies a former outbuilding of the Château de Carney, a 17th-century building. Once stables and lodgings for the grape pickers, it has been carefully restored: we kept its character and original materials, and added a contemporary touch.
LE GÎTE and La MAISONNETTE offer two ways to stay here: warm, personal interiors where heritage meets design, featuring works from our collection. Dogs are welcome.
A place full of life
Nearly two hectares set among the vines, with space and quiet. The garden, shared between guests, opens onto the vineyard. Part of the land is being renatured; the permaculture vegetable garden changes with the seasons, and what we harvest ends up in the kitchen. Guests are welcome to help themselves.
We live on site, with the hens, cats and dogs.
Taking your time
The large garden has room to play, dine or simply do nothing. In the old barn: games, a ping-pong table, a big barbecue and a pizza oven. A little further on, the sauna. From May to September, the salt-water pool becomes the heart of the garden: cool off, read in the sun, spend the afternoon with family.
Beautiful, comfortable, responsible
We want a kind of tourism that's more mindful of its environment, without giving up comfort, pleasure or beauty. Renaturing the land, the permaculture vegetable garden, solar energy and our choices to conserve resources are all part of that.
